My Profile

Dear Readers,

When you start to read this blog, this shows that you are also trying to conceive or you are ready to set up a family with your darling husband.

I’m going to share my experience here as a Singaporean mummy-wanna-be and this blog plays an important role for book keeping my records and experiences throughout the whole journey. I’m not sure when baby dust will stick but my hubby and I are not giving up.

My English is not very fantastic so bare with me and I’ll let you know how I changed my lifestyle and what I’ve gone through just to conceive.

We were married in 2013 and here’s the timeline of what happened before I setup this blog.

June 2013 – just married but realized that periods are getting hey-wired as I was too stress over my unpredicted career path

August 2013 – decided to go for a check and was referred to NUH but doctor though I’m normal

November 2013 – started TTC #1

March 2014 – tried for a few months and it was getting hard to predict ovulation as periods were irregular. Visited Dr Benjamin Tham as recommended by my colleague. Suspected to be approaching PCOS. Advised by doctor to try another 6 months.

August 2014 – tried another 6 months and there’s still no news! DH went NUH to test if there’s fertility issues and results turned out explicitly good! So it should be me 😦

September 2014 – started 1st round 50mg clomid on day 2 to day 6. 2 folicles grew above 18mm but unsuccessful. AF came on day 30.

October 2014 – 2nd round 50mg clomid. 1 focile grew to 17mm on day 12. AF came on day 30.

November 2014 – 3rd round 50mg clomid. No response. Doctor put me on progesterone to induce AF on day 30.

December 2014 – visited Zou Yu Min TCM and was told to stop clomid as it affects my uterus lining. True enough my AF duration dropped from 6 days to 3 days.

January 2015 – started TCM accupunture and drinking chi med to induce ovulation.

May 2015 – went IUI done by Dr Eunice Chua at Thomson Medical Center but failed. Started Metformin.

June 2015 – Dr Zou advised to visit Dr Tan Heng Hao from KKH since I’m recovering with regular cycles.

August 2015 – Visited Dr Tan HH and he advised us to try naturally with letrozole/ferama.
